Migrant workers are some of the most vulnerable populations. They are often overworked and underpaid, with limited access to healthcare. The unique conditions of migrant workers make them extremely susceptible to COVID-19, crowded dormitories, the inability to social distance, and unsafe working conditions are their norm. Purposeful action must be taken now to ensure their safety and minimize the transmission of the disease. Migrant workers need safe and private quarters, they need to be informed of their rights, and reintegration services must be set up for a surge of returning victims.
